I am wordsmithing my way through life, one content project experience at a time.

I aim to deliver the right content to the right audience at the right time and in the right manner so they can succeed at their task.

I aim to create experiences built for focus and stories that delight.

I like to solve problems that can be fixed with content.

I believe in transforming content into a business asset and enjoy working with others that feel the same.

I have 15+ years’ experience as a senior content professional. I have worked for large companies and small, as a member of a big team as well as on my own, for complex, multi-year initiatives and short, targeted projects. I have empowered all types of customers to achieve more in a cloud-powered, cross-platform, multi-device, multi-lingual world.

A little bit more about me

I’ve held a variety of professional content strategy and writing positions in software, biopharm/pharm, healthcare, public utility, fitness, journalism, forestry, construction, and the fashion industry. In these roles, I’ve been responsible for multifaceted deliverables—everything from micro and UX copy, video tutorials, and mobile apps to product catalogs, training, marketing collateral, and feature articles.

In addition, I’ve spearheaded several efforts to investigate/test/migrate/implement several website redesigns, a new content management system, revamped print content strategies, drafted case studies/doc plans/style guides/RFP proposals/user manuals, conducted research studies in a lab as well as in the field, and helped develop new localization standards and writing guidelines for mobile apps.

I have experience in the investment industry in Vancouver, British Columbia as a broker, trader, and account manager where I was bonded for $500 million and honed my active listening, negotiating, analytical, and customer relationship skills which served to strengthen partnerships long term.

When appropriate, I blend storytelling into my work—be it in a teaching moment in an app’s UI, when presenting ideas or new content strategy, or how I approach content design. As a sometimes storyteller by day, I like to think I shine as a storyteller by night, too, when writing my historical tales by moonlight or candlelight.

My first historical mystery novella, SLAIN OVER SPUMONI, set in post-WWI Venice, was published summer of 2022 and won First Place in the Novella category by Chanticleer International Book Awards. My debut nonfiction book about ITALIANS IN THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST in the early years (1880-1950) was published fall of 2023. It won First Place for a Nellie Bly Award for Investigative and Journalistic Nonfiction by Chanticleer International Book Awards. My Substack by the same name was also launched at the same time and I continue to post more in-depth Italian American stories every few weeks to continue highlighting Italian stories. There’s a project in the works over the next several years to create both a documentary-style video as well as a traveling exhibit based on my nonfiction book and work as a community historian of Italians in the Pacific Northwest.
